She had with her a basket of cabbages, a goat and wolf. Moored by the bank was a boat, which would only carry the woman and one of the other three. If she takes the cabbages the wolf will eat the goat. If she takes the wolf the goat will eat the cabbages. How can she get herself and all three safely to the other side of the river.
